Misanthrope

Miss Anthrope–
I threw you a rope.
You were out to sea,
And you didn’t see me.

You ignored the line.
You chose the wine.
Drown by your sorrow.
My hand was to borrow.

Mister Anthrope–
How you love the dope.
I smiled at you.
Tried to break through.

You choked on that dope.
You chose it to cope.
You looked past my grin.
Wouldn’t let anyone in.

Misanthrope.
There is still hope.
Alone is just fine,
Just not all the time.

We is how to feel.
We is how to heal.
If you don’t climb over your wall,
All you can ever do is fall.
